Frequently asked
How accurate is the phone stopwatch?
The phone samples every millisecond, so technically more precise than a hand-held stopwatch. The real source of error is the same on both: the tenths of reaction between seeing the wall touch and pressing. Exactly like a physical chrono. If you'd rather use your Casio or Garmin, pick "From the pace clock" mode and type in the times after the set.
Is it really free?
Yes. Today all features are free: no paid tiers, no caps on swimmers or sessions. Advanced features or add-on products may become paid in the future, but every core feature will stay free. If a pro plan ever makes sense we'll announce it first, and what you use today stays free.
Does it work without poolside Wi-Fi?
Yes. The stopwatch runs locally: you can start, stop and capture times even in airplane mode. The session is saved on the phone and syncs the moment you're online again. Built for pools with patchy connectivity.
Do my swimmers need the app?
No. You can add an athlete from the team panel with just a name, that's enough to time and keep their history. If they later want to see their own times on their phone, they sign up with the team code and the records link to the same profile.
Is my team data private?
Yes. Only you (and the athletes you link) see your team's data. No public leaderboards, no third-party data sales. Servers are in Europe (Hetzner, Helsinki). Full details on the Privacy page at the bottom.
